Since the game is on their HD (including all packs, regardless if they are disabled), there has to be some sort of text (?) file to edit, or another way around going online and breaking one's game from required updates that the player does not want (having already spent too much money on a broken game). There are many players who want to stick to their current (somewhat) stable version, while being able to choose which packs to play with, or not play with. Going online forces users to update, and several players already know how bad that is (with updates breaking games, causing various issues- including not being able to play for months). i have 4 expansion packs and 2 game packs on my laptop for the Sims 4. I want to know the way to do it offline (in text files- since there is an obvious file there). If you still cant figure out where you installed the game right click on the game shortcut, select 'open file location'. I am already aware of the online method (going through game properties and typing in (under Advanced Launch Options) Command Line Arguments.
Is there a way to enable/disable packs offline if a player wants to have certain packs available sometimes, but not always? Information, Guides and Announcements for the EA app.
